Another Milestone Moment
I’d like to introduce everyone to STSC(SS) Alex Gilbert. He is currently serving as the SONAR LCPO on board The Mighty Warship USS ALBANY SSN-753.
Chief Gilbert is the second of what we hope are many to complete the Ring of Fire and earn the Four Patches of the Acoustic Apocalypse detailed below.
2019: Earned the XMAN Patch on board USS COLORADO SSN-788
2023: Earned the SECRET SQUIRREL Patch on board USS NEWPORT NEWS SSN-750
2025: Earned the SONS OF SONAR Patch as SONAR LPO on board USS IOWA SSN-797
2026: Earned the FORCE ACINT SME Patch as Acting SONAR LCPO on board
USS IOWA SSN-797 while on loan from USS ALBANY (can only be earned at sea doing cool stuff)
The theme continues; Perfecting your craft and leading AT SEA!
In recognition of this great treatment, we presented him with his SECRET SQUIRREL Jacket!
